We are opening up an opportunity for the community to become active participants and leaders in shaping the future of the Hungarian community and the life of the Hungarian House. Our goal is to involve committed individuals who genuinely want to contribute, through purchasing a share in the Hungarian House. A share means responsibility: it gives you the opportunity to have a real impact on the direction of the Hungarian community in Sydney.
We are looking for people who care about the future of the Hungarian community, those who don’t just want to be present, but to contribute with ideas, programmes, and energy. Whether you’ve been part of the community for years or you’ve only just arrived, if you have the intention to build and contribute, this is your place. Our aim is to refresh the community, engage younger generations, and create space for new initiatives, all while preserving our traditions.
What does this mean in practice?
Active participation. A minimum of 8 hours of contribution per year. Taking the time to reflect on what you’ve already done for the Hungarian community, and what you’d like to contribute in the future. The Hungarian House offers community, connections, and support but in return, it expects commitment. This is a shared effort. A place where we don’t just meet, but actively shape what it means to be Hungarian in Sydney today and tomorrow.
